Statia de cercetare

Statia is an association of a group of artists, curators, theorists, economists and others, who, together with tranzit.ro, from 2021, co-own and co-plan a piece of land in the village of Siliștea Snagovului, 30 km north of Bucharest, near a protected natural area (forest and lake). Inscribed in a long-term perspective and through an open and participatory process of construction and contextualization, the Station aims to become:

• a center for contemporary art and research :
• a center for nature studies ;
• a resource center and residencies ;
• a prototype cultural institution anchored in a locality it shares with its community, situated in a post-development narrative and based on ecological and ethical principles.
